Description
Tracing Oracle EBS web activity. Viewssld had two new client sessions, port xxx65 and xxx66. A click on a web link was slow. tcpdump traffic on client system showed traffic moving on port 65 for a short while, and then port 66. As the ports transitioned from 65 to 66, viewssld followed.
Suddenly port 65 showed up again, and then 66 and it oscillated back and forth between 65 and 66. As it did so, viewssld no longer showed showed port 65, but only port 66 traffic.
I did not monitor the /var/log/messages file to see when the ports closed in relation to the traffic movement... that is my next evaluation.
I am concerned that ports are closing too early in viewssld. Anyway to change the timeout for session closure?
