Website lags entire chrome instance

While the site is open, the entire chrome instance (including other windows with other tabs) lags a LOT. Simply having two instances of the page open on a 4k display is enough to bring chrome down to around 5-10fps, with two instances open at 1080p bringing it down to around 20-25fps.

Just curious, what OS is Huntarr running under and what OS is your chrome session running under?

Huntarr is running on an Arch Linux server (installed from AUR), and I'm running an Arch Linux desktop session with google-chrome from AUR (version 138.0.7204.100-1). Nvidia Open drivers (latest beta: 575.64.05-263) and Kwin Wayland.

I tried enabling hardware acceleration, but that only made the problem worse (also, videos now play back at ~20fps instead of 60)

What happens if you enable Low Usage Mode under Settings -> Main -> System Settings -> Low Usage Mode in Huntarr's GUI?

This is with low usage mode already enabled.

I'm outa ideas then. I'm running a similar setup (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS for both, chrome, and wayland. Only difference is the video driver, mine is an Intel Alder Lake-N) and I'm not seeing a lag here.

Maybe the devs will have some ideas.
