Description
I had problems with the plinky loosing calibration of my finger touches. especially the right side of the play field. after resoldering the connectors on both the front panel and the main board, i noticed that the tracks coming off the touch strips are routed very close to the holes for the a+b knobs. and as they are on the underside of the front pcb, they come in very close proximity with the metal parts of those potentiometers. mechanical stress could scratch the solder resist on the pcb in that area. i places two thin plastic washers between the board and the potentiometers to solve the problem. now the plinky is stable.
I think a rerouting of the traces in that area could help solve this problem. half of the traces could be on the front of the pcb I think.
this was with a plinky V2, but looking at the kicad files of v3, they have the same routing problem.
the selected tracks should be rerouted to the front of the pcb i think:
