faustgen~ object fails to load/render after restarting PlugData (Pure Data)

Problem Description

I am having trouble with the faustgen~ object. I have installed the Faust components, but whenever I restart PlugData (or Pure Data), the faustgen~ object remains an "empty box" (red dotted line) and cannot be initialized. Double-clicking the object does not open the editor window.

Environment

• **OS:Windows 11
• **Architecture:x64
• **PlugData Version: most new

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open PlugData.
2. Create an object faustgen~.
3. The object appears as an invalid/missing object.
4. I have verified that the Faust libraries are in the search path, but they are not recognized after a restart.

Expected Behavior

faustgen~ should load correctly and double-clicking it should open the Faust source code editor.

Additional Context

I am trying to use it for physical modeling synthesis (EWI flute modeling). Any guidance on how to fix the library path or binary compatibility would be greatly appreciated.

if it happens in Pure Data, it's probably not a PlugData issue

@prosonicjason which faustgen~ version are you using? afaict, the most recent version is probably faustgen2~ (note that the object also contains the "2" in that case) - with v2.2.0 downloads here: https://github.com/agraef/pd-faustgen/releases/tag/2.2.0

i didn't test on windows - but the macos arm64 version works as expected for me (with plugdata and puredata).
