building problem

Hi, 

I tried the following:

aclocal
autoheader
automake
autoconf
./configure

I get the following error:

./configure: line 3783: PKG_PROG_PKG_CONFIG: command not found

./configure: line 3832: syntax error near unexpected token `GLIB,'
./configure: line 3832:`PKG_CHECK_MODULES(GLIB, glib-2.0)'

what's happening?
