Hey all 👋

I am looking into the Dependencies and am trying to understand how does it relate / is distinct from the vanilla Environment approach.

Specifically what problems are solved with Dependencies that one cannot solve using vanilla, the benefits, drawbacks, tradeoffs. A comparison table with vanilla approach would be highly appreciated.

In other words, I am trying to find reasons as to why a (certain type?) codebase would benefit from this specific solution.

Hi @Chevel, the @Environment only works directly in SwiftUI views. Our @Dependency property wrapper works everywhere else, such as @Observable models, UIKit view controllers, etc. If all of your feature's logic and behavior is put directly in a SwiftUI view, then you should stick with @Environnent.
