Regarding the mpfs-icicle-kit-amp issue

The mpfs-icice-kit development board. Currently, download the official 2025.03 version of the Yocto image. Compile it using the "mpfs-icicle-kit-amp" method. After the download is completed, it is found that one can freely control the remote FreeRTOS context. However, if I use the commands shown in the following figure to replace the previous Freertos firmware (the replaced firmware was directly compiled via remote from 2025.03's mpfs-rpmsg-freertos), after the replacement, the operation always remained in the state of "Waiting for master to get ready..." as shown in the following figure. Could you please explain why this is the case?

Could you please explained what you mean in the sentence above? Do you mean you compiled the mpfs-rpmsg-freertos externally using either SoftConsole or the command line tool? If that is the case please note you need to pass the REMOTEPROC=1 flag as shown below:

Yes, I compiled the "mpfs-rpmsg-freertos" project using software on Windows. The instruction you mentioned seems to be the compilation command needed for development on Linux. But if I were developing on Windows, how would I set it up?

Hi,

If you are using SoftConsole, right-click on the project and select Properties. Then, navigate to the C/C++ Build option, select Remote Default Configuration, and finally add REMOTEPROC=1 to the build arguments, as shown in the image below:

Reference Design version used
Full kernel and HSS log

Reference Design version used is https://github.com/polarfire-soc/icicle-kit-reference-design/tree/v2025.03,
内核版本是基于Yocto2025.03进行编译的https://github.com/polarfire-soc/meta-polarfire-soc-yocto-bsp/tree/2025.03.
Of course, I also tried it based on the 2025.07 version, but the results were the same as this one.

If you are using Reference Design v2025.03, you must also use the Linux v2025.03 release.
If you are using Reference Design v2025.07, you must use the Linux v2025.07 release.

Could you please confirm your reference design version and release version are aligned? If you provide a full kernel and HSS that would be helpful to help identify the release versions you are using.
