Allow Access token for MCP have more permissions

Currently, I use Polar MCP in Cursor and use it to get data from my account, but it keeps returning insufficient_scope, it's quite annoying.

Reproduce in Cursor

1. Add Polar MCP and authenticate success
2. Prompt use polar mcp, get all user email

Is there any way to set up a custom access token with more permissions for MCP access?
