Please provide a summary of the enhancement you are proposing:

I've discovered that it is possible to set a Deno.exitCode before calling Deno.exit(), this could meaningfully improve our error handling code, which is actually some of the most verbose and ugly code we have, in part because we have async tasks to accomplish immediately before we exit.

Please provide the motivation or use case for this enhancement:

Investigate the feature, determine if it is useful to implement.
