Wallpaper color picker is delayed

Clicking on a color in the color picker results in the previously chosen color being used instead of the current one.

steps to reproduce:
- go to Desktop>Wallpaper
- switch from wallpapers to colors
- click 'Add color'
- pick a red color (the background is now white)
- pick a black color (the background is now red)
