View() does not work and does not show the data browser

What happens is that the View() does not work both in the console and the script but when selecting the data in the workspace it lets me display the data in list format but as the file explorer is not seen and I do not understand what I have wrong or what I should activate.

Could you please share the Positron version information? Here's how you can copy the info in Positron:

1. Open the Command Palette using Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+P
2. Type Help: About
3. Run the command
4. Copy the information and share here

In addition, could you please check for any error messages from the Developer Tools console?

1. Open the Command Palette using Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+P
2. Type Developer: Toggle Developer Tools
3. Run the command
4. Copy any error output in the Console tab of the Developer Tools and share here

One more thing to try: what happens if you click the "View in Data Explorer" button from the Variables pane?

I believe I have the same problem:

• View(mtcars) works as expected.
• Clicking on "View in Data Explorer" in the Variables pane works as expected.
• mtcars |> View() works as expected.
• mtcars %>% View() opens a Data Explorer tab but fails to show the data.

So the problem seems to be related to the magrittr pipe. Please see below the requested information.

Are you using renv? This may be the same as #7385 and #8167.

I am using renv, and I can confirm that View() works with the magrittr pipe outside renvs. Thank you, @juliasilge, and apologies for the duplicate!
