Positron Assistant does not work with Github Copilot

Turning on the experimental feature, I was able to authenticate the Positron Assistant with GitHub Copilot. However, it does not appear in the Positron Assistant and says no providers are available despite authenticating. No responses are generated when asked in the assistant.

Thanks for your interest in trying out Positron! The functionality in Positron Assistant is not yet available for beta user testing, but when it is, we will make an announcement here on GH discussions, including documentation for how to set up the Assistant.

Bringing this up again with the latest release enabling Positron Assistant. Looks like Copilot works for code completion, but does not work as a chat assistant.

Hi @jonpeake thanks for reporting! The Copilot SDK is limited to inline completions only at this time, and we have integrated it as such. We are exploring Chat options for Copilot and other providers.
