cant display <IPython.core.display.HTML object>

I'm trying to run PyCaret in Positron, but the HTML output isn't displaying. Can anyone help?

Can you share what OS you are on? I am on OSX.

I first tried your commands in the console and it became clear that I needed:

brew install libomp

After running this install, my notebook works as expected:

Here is my full Positron version. I tried to update it, but it tells me "There are currently no updates available."

• Can you try running this code in a separate Jupyter notebook?

import pandas as pd

x = pd.DataFrame({'x':[1,2,3]})
ipython_display(x)

This is what is generating that HTML under the hood.

• Are you using the ipykernel that Positron bundles, or did you install your own? (Read more on that here)

• Can you change your log level settings to "python.languageServerLogLevel": "debug", and then share the contents of your "Notebook" logs? This would be the 2nd row in the table here: https://positron.posit.co/troubleshooting.html#python-and-r-logs

• i try to run your code in another notebook and it work and show the appropriate html output
• i think previously i use the one in the bundles, but i also try installing it my own eventhough it still not work

What if you put this code in the broken notebook that seems to have problems already:

from IPython.display import display as ipython_display
import pandas as pd

x = pd.DataFrame({'x':[1,2,3]})
ipython_display(x)

For example, you could clear all "Clear All Outputs", close and reopen Positron, and then put this code above or below the pycaret code. What happens in that situation? Do you still see that the ipython_display() works well while the pycaret will not display, within the same notebook?

Hi @rayhanalirachman,

Can you confirm what version of Positron you are using? I also had a colleague try this and it works for them, too. We are hoping that you may just need an update.
