Features I would love in Positron

Hello there!

I am was using R and RStudio for years for research and statistics. Recently I learned Python and got introduced to VSCode which I admit takes some time to learn.

The current version of Positron is the right direction - mixing the good stuff from VSCode and RStudio.

My main is Debugging

1. **Debugging of R Jupyter Notebooks" : could not find this functionality (VSCode doesn't have it either) - if you do something to enable it, it would be mind-blowing. I would also suggest enabling conditional breakpoints - just like in MATLAB IDE, which is so convenient.
2. **Debugging R and Python in Quarto Notebooks" - I think no one has done that as "they are for publishing" - but it would be a great help for reproducibility and story-telling if everything could be done at one place instead of going back and forth from scripts to jupyter notebooks to Quarto. Again, this will be a mind-blowing feature.
3. Jupyter Notebook environment is not visible in the variables workspace - If could use Jupyter Notebook as a script, sometimes invoking from the terminal, sometimes invoking from the notebook it would be great. Again, this functionality is not present in VSCode and could give you some advantage over them.
4. GITHUB COPILOT - currently, I have a paid subscription to Github Copilot. In VSCode this also gives my Claude , but for Positron I have to pay extra for an additional Anthropic subscription and this is not cool. Would be grateful if you enable Github copilot as an agent and not just as code complentation.
