i'm transitioning in Positron linux but has been frustrating.

You can bring up that panel by running the command View: Focus into Secondary Side Bar from the command palette, but we would expect that to be available right away by default. We'll see if we can reproduce the problem.

Ah, that is not Positron! That is VS Code. Want to double check by running the command Help: About from the command palette?

you right. i was calling code . not positron. my bad
