Positron Assistant - More Custom Env Variables

Can we introduce new variables for the Positron Assistant?

Similar to Claude Code, we could set variables like ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL, ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN, ANTHROPIC_MODEL, and ANTHROPIC_SMALL_FAST_MODEL. This would enable proxy usage or the integration of third-party models like Kimi-K2 to power the CC.

We can allow users to customize these environment variables for Positron, just as we do for CC. This would significantly improve the accessibility and flexibility of the Positron Assistant without requiring extensive modifications.

However, I'm referring to the "Claude Style" environment variables, not the "OpenAI Compatible Style." I guess this will require fewer modifications? Allowing "ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL" and "ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN" will enable us to use a proxy to access the Claude model (especially for those outside the official service coverage areas) as the Positron Assistant may have intended.

I wrote a PR for anthropic-compatible models which allows the user to change the base url and the model (personally I think the ability to use an arbitrary model is important) through the UI, as you can see under these 2 issues. However, it was rejected by the Positron team. They said they wanted to do it a different approach. I'm now daily driving my own custom version of Positron with custom LLM models.

That's wonderful (However, it's a pity that this was rejected...)! I'm using an Apple Silicon Mac and would like to know how I can use your modified version myself. Thx!
