This comes from the Posit Publisher extension: https://github.com/posit-dev/publisher We bundle this extension in Positron, much like we do Quarto, etc, and it does include a binary (again, like Quarto, air, etc). So yep, it is a real and known component of what Positron bundles up and provides to you!
