How to quickly filter variables in session tab/variables pane.

When opening the variables pane in the session tab, i often want to quickly filter the available variables.

1. How can i access the filter field with the keyboard?
2. It would be great to automatically access the filter field if one starts typing after the focus has been set on the variables pane.
