Positron on Windows Server 2025 #9940

Has anyone had any success getting Positron to run on Server 2025? We have an RDS (Remote Desktop Services) "power" server running it and I am unable to get it to start: 
I am aware that the download page specifically says Windows 10, 11 but was hoping there was a way to get it to work. Thanks! |

An issue was just opened about this: #9986 While we haven't done any testing on Windows Server, keep track of this issue and hopefully there can be a fix in the future. If you have anything to add to the issue, please do! |

UPDATE: This was NOT an issue with Positron but rather with FSLogix which we use for dynamic profiles on the RDS (Remote Desktop Services) server. We did attempt some work with the redirections.xml (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/tutorial-redirections-xml) but was able to resolve the issue completely by upgrading from FSLogix v3.25.626.21064 to the latest v3.25.822.19044. We are now able to run the system-wide install of Positron as all normal users who use the server. Thanks! |
