MathJax/LaTeX hover tooltips are hard to read in dark themes.

I have an R Markdown vignette with math powered by MathJax or Latex (not sure which). I like how I can hover over the source and look at the rendered math in the hover tooltip. It looks great with light themes, but it's pretty much black on black in dark themes. Is there a way to lighten the text and make the math easier to read?

Do you know if you have any extra extensions installed (beyond the included Quarto extension) that might be providing any functionality for this kind of tooltip?

I tried disabling all my extensions except Quarto, and the text is still black. Would it help to try uninstalling them? I have:

Can you take a look at your settings and see if anything there might be related? Anything related to Quarto (which is what provides the .Rmd support in Positron) or color customization in general?

I searched "quarto", "markdown", "latex", "mathjax", "hover", "tooltip", and "color" in settings. The closest I found was Quarto > Cells > Background: Dark Default and the light equivalent (cool to see how to control the code chunk background color). Is there a special name for that rendered math hover tooltip?

The correct font color started appearing as soon as I removed "window.autoDetectColorScheme": true from my system-level settings.json file. It's odd because I can no longer reproduce the issue when I add this setting back in the same Positron session. If it helps, I'm running a Mac with an OS-level dark theme.
