Show total and mean values in Grid component

The Grid component for most of the columns show numeric values (counts, duration, byte size, etc.). It would be to provide mean/total values for those columns.

Should the values be computed client or server side?
Does a "total" or "average" mean anything for an average value column (example: average runtime)?
