Is lzturbo dead?

Its as fast as LZ4, compresses like LZMA, being the best in its category by a very long shot, but its closed source, has no licensing, and its obligatory contact button is only some text (not even a link) that says "contact", and was abandoned and forgotten in 2018, what happened?
