Cursor Blink Issue

Something I am noticing with this plugin, when I go into insert mode, the cursor to start blinking irregularly, here's a video:

I believe it must be spamming some sort of command constantly while in insert mode?

Which vim version are you using? Also did you try it with minimal vimrc?
