Upside-down icons in Previous links

I am using Octicons in the top title of my documents, like in the docs/testing.md file of my project:

# {octicon}`shield-check` CLI testing

...

It works perfectly, and render like that:

These icons are even featured in the left-side menu:

And they also find their way in the previous and next links at the bottom:

Only issue, as you can see above, is that in the Previous link, the icon is upside-down. 🙃
