It would be nice to have the ability to pull repositories/github releases as dependencies natively without requiring custom tasks to do the downloading. Conda is great but requires setup for every package, languages such as C/CPP and other system languages often pull from diverse sources so it would be nice to have either a direct github release or http support for pulling raw binaries in as a dependency without requiring faking a python package to do so.
