Custom JS Validation Rules

Hello,

Is there any support for defining the JS code for a custom rule to be used instead of relying on remote validation for all custom rules?

We have rules that can (in theory) be validated on the client side i.e. they don't require database queries etc. We want to minimise HTTP requests by providing JavaScript implementations for some of our custom rules. If you could provide any guidance for doing this it would be much appreciated.

The short answer is no I don't think so, but see https://github.com/jquery-validation/jquery-validation/blob/master/src/additional/additional.js for adding new rules, and https://jqueryvalidation.org/jQuery.validator.methods/ for modifying existing rules. You'd need to probably modify https://github.com/proengsoft/laravel-jsvalidation/blob/master/src/Support/RuleListTrait.php#L14 as well.
