Problem with 7zip file

Hello.

I have trouble with decompressing the 7z file provided in the Releases section. The error message is "7-zip bad CRC: 0x36a0e11e should be 0x4a728476". I'm using it with Ubuntu 24.04. I haven't tried to compile the program myself yet.

*sigh* i had an independent report of this happening with a homebrew updater that uses libarchive. I guess this is universally broken. I will update the compression flags to hopefully fix this.

This archive for me too. The release wouldn't. Other archivers do decompress it correctly though.
It would be cool if you could make a new release as some other tools rely on it and Universal Updater for the 3DS tries to download that package and fails to install.

I just wanted to come here to say, I had a corrupted download from Universal Updater, then the most current release also gave me the same 7zip error as listed above.

This nightly build extracted fine. I have not tested to make sure it works on my device, however, so, can't confirm that aspect.

Hi there, I would like to share the experience I got as well: From MacOS the 7z files does not decompress correctly, it results to corrupted firm files.
The zip file from the nightly on another hand works perfectly well.

I am also unable to install / extract the ".firm" I receive a failed message in Universal Updater and a Catastrophic Failure on Windows when extracting the .zip.

I'm on linux and I am unable to extract the .7z archive for release beta_2024-12-24.

This also seems to break installing via Universal Updater.

I had the exact problem using .7z and received the Catastrophic Failure on Windows error with a completed extracted folder, however, the open_age_firm.firm file was 0kb. I tried with WinRAR and was able to successfully load the payload from luma and navigate to my gba rom folder and boot into a game. Should work with WinRAR.
