I have the same issue. I am using elasticsearch_exporter v1.10.0, and the multi target feature.
Not only the connections keep accumulating, but I also see more and more packets and network traffic on the host that runs this exporter.

According to my tests, the issue does not seem to appear when not using the multi target feature.

I have the same issue. It spawn many process when using multi target feature
