I figured out gradescope only accept printable characters (including empty character) for the crack32( ) function. I tried to find a pair of string that includes weird characters, but it was rejected despite getting an output when i ran it locally. I think it would be nice if everyone knows about this restriction (even though most of students here have figured it out)

Yes, that’s correct. The current grading system is designed to only accept printable characters when parsing the output of crack.
