You could also test it on a USB or SMB device to make sure it's a problem only with the MX4SIO.

From what I remember Manhunt might have problems with 3rd party memory cards.
Use an original 8 MB memory card.

Additionally try do enable mode 6 (Disable IGR).

I use memory card 8MB Maybe my memory card is not original

I happened to me..then i used the official ps2 memory card and it works
