saw this discussions [#173 ]
that it is possible to activate CONFIG_BT_SSP_ENABLED .
But the ESP32-A2DP lib only allows
esp_bt_pin_type_t pin_type = ESP_BT_PIN_TYPE_VARIABLE;
Is it possible to add the type
esp_bt_pin_type_t pin_type = ESP_BT_PIN_TYPE_FIXED;
in Legacy Pairing Mode

As far as I can see this is already available and driven by is_pin_code_active which can be set with the activate_pin_code method

I can't provide any PlatformIO support!

And I can't reproduce your issue in Arduino
