Schedule date nav and content discrepency

When the app was opened on Thursday, the THU nav item was highlighted, however, the content displayed was Wednesday's. Clicking to another day then back to the current day ends up loading the correct content.

Steps to reproduce on Android:

1. Select a day other than the current day.
2. Close the app.
3. Reopen the app.
4. The content displayed will not be that of the current day.

I am experiencing the same issue on iOS too. Very reproducible.

@altsalt can you confirm it's resolved? In testing it was difficult for me to reproduce but after merging and deploying the fix from Dustin it looks like its opening on the correct day.
