feature request: clickable DOIs

Especially for publications it would be nice to have a clickable url behind the DOI to directly get to the paper

This should be possible by configuring a site to resolve the 'doi:` prefix.

That wouldn't work here specifically, because that DOI field is just a string (see https://github.com/psychoinformatics-de/datalad-concepts/blob/c7120d931d2be1fa7d60a944363e79a6c7396afd/src/publications-mixin/unreleased.yaml#L50), it's not a (subclass of) dlidentifiers:Identifier so its value is not a record with a PID. We should probably consider removing this field and relying on the default way of adding identifiers for a record (the existing Identifiers slot), or we could consider keeping the field and changing its range to dlidentifiers:DOI https://github.com/psychoinformatics-de/datalad-concepts/blob/c7120d931d2be1fa7d60a944363e79a6c7396afd/src/identifiers/unreleased.yaml#L170.

ah, that makes sense! Thanks both. From a UX perspective, I'd be in favour of the latter (changing the range to dlidentifiers:DOI). Its easier than finding the DOI in the additional dropdown menu and would probably ensure that a DOI is always given (simply because it is so prominently asked for in the editor). I will try a PR
