TLDR;

It's not production ready: the lack of most important features, documentation is missing, fast iterations. Only OS X. But if you willing to help, please do.

Why not vanilla AppKit?

"Learn once, run everywhere" (c). Write only low-level parts in Objective-C and use the power of React-ecosystem.
Use your favorite language: ClojureScript, Elm,
Developer experience: hot reloading, linters, type checkins.
There is no hype about AppKit.

Why not Electron?

RND's overhead is about 1mb.
