Some news for all Lens Creators in 2025

I will be releasing a server update to version 3.4, which should fix many (but not all) problems for the old 2023-2024 lenses.

For the lens creators among you, I have found a way how you can continue to create lenses with Lens Studio and use them with Snap Camera Server in 2025. The method is a bit hackerman style but for a lens creator it should be doable.

I will make a tutorial video and explain the steps in detail. If everything goes as planned, the video will appear relatively shortly after the v3.4 update.

Update 2025-03-16

The new 3.4 version for Creators is expected to be released sometime next week.
I've made a few important bug fixes from the new version available as version 3.3.4.

There's no obligation, so no pressure on the release of 3.4.

I am new to lense making and I like the lense making environment through Lens Studio.
Ironic part of this is that I am unable to view my newly created lenses via the Snap Camera Server.

I hope to see version 3.4 is soon. I have also discovered Snap Camera Kit and StreamFog.

I updated to version 3.4 however I still get the infinity loading icon on all new lenses that have not been loaded or cached before. Did this patch include fixing that issue? or am I missing something? All cached lenses are still working. I updated the .env and and removed containers from docker. Executed docker compose up and added the new share file server folder to docker. On top of that I also redownloaded snap camera and ran a new patch just to make sure that was not causing the issue. I tried multiple lenses that were not cached and all of them result in infinity load.

The reason for infinite loading will be in your Docker log output or Snap Camera Log.txt file
