Is there an associated issue in pulumi/pulumi to track the performance problem?

I believe this is related to type explosion. We made good ground on type explosion mitigation for non-recursive case #4449 and for detecting the recursive case in pulumi/pulumi-terraform-bridge#2134

A few finishing touches are needed and some team buy-in on the design but I'd love to push this forward sometime.

It's a bridge / TF problem not p/p problem that is.
