update readme to include only the most important information #182
Description
The readme is too long and important things are buried. It's also hard to keep the readme in sync with the real documentation when there's so much extra stuff. My to do list:
- Change installation to say something like "pvlib python is available via pip or conda. see the installation instructions for more"
- Move the NREL SPA discussion to a new section in the installation documentation.
- Delete the Usage section.
- Compatability: get rid of most of this. "pandas versions 0.13.1 or newer"
- Testing: move to contributing section.
