With Zigbee support, I think it would be easier to control the device directly from HA. With BLE, I need another device to control the device, open a website, search for a Bluetooth connection, etc.

Setting up the device to your requirements is done once, but replacing batteries in Zigbee is more frequent.
Zigbee cannot receive data from the thermometer on a cheap usb-bt from a neighboring house, unlike Ble Le Long Range. And Zigbee cannot cover my entire private territory and requires autonomous routers and other special devices.

The difference in chips for the minimum reception level for Zigbee is -95..100 dBm, and BLE "Le Long Range" at the level of -105..115 dBm.
Each 6..8 dBm is an increase in communication distance by 2 times.

The reliability of the Zigbee network is about 10 times worse than that of BLE. Consumption when transmitting the same amount of data in Zigbee is more than 8 times more.

Zigbee is suitable only for executive devices with power from the external electrical network.

So why ruin a good thing, with the best antenna, with a clock and large characters, with a button for transmitting events (turning on the devices turned off in accordance with the script)?

Forgive me as a layman, but in my experience, without a custom firmware like yours, integrating Bluetooth/BLE devices across brands is difficult, if not impossible, because each brand typically restricts or encrypts data from their devices, making them unusable with other brands, even Home Assistant.
That's why I've been put off using Bluetooth devices and avoided them.

When I first started using HA, I immediately changed the LYWSD03 to a custom firmware so it could be used on HA because I didn't know there was Xiaomi BLE integration. For some reason, even my newly purchased MJWSD05 couldn't connect to HA even though I tried using Xiaomi BLE integration (device not found).
This is different from ZigBee (in my experience), as long as there is support from both ZHA and Z2M, everything is fine, even though I know not all devices are supported.

Honestly, I am very grateful for the effort you have put in so far, making these sensors more useful! Your custom firmware even has additional features.
I even just ordered a C401 from overseas even though I knew it would only be for display.

Yeah, I actually just needed to calibrate or compensate the sensor readings by comparing them to other sensors I already have.
I usually only do this once or a few times at first. But in the previous case (sensor THB1), the RH readings from the sensor were inconsistent for some reason, so I had to change it several times. In fact, the last time the sensor reading wouldn't rise above 73% RH, and I ended up retiring it early to the trash.
But I think the MJWSD05 is consistent with my other sensors, so I only need to adjust it initially.
And Yes, I put multiple sensors in one place for comparison.

Processing all the functions available for MJWSD05MMC will result in significant battery consumption in ZigBee. Z2M requires a special script. In addition, Z2M and ZHA have many inconsistencies with ZigBee3.0 and are not optimized for battery-powered devices at all.
Currently, the functionality of Zigbee integrations in HA is significantly worse than for BLE.

Zigbee is not developing, unlike BLE. As a result, we have a limitation on the number of devices in a Zigbee network, the impossibility of expansion and very low data traffic, which has long been insufficient for home automation. In the new BLE standards, all these issues are resolved, including bidirectional communication in beacons from version BT5.4. And the number of devices in the network can exceed thousands... And I do not see the point in supporting the outdated Zigbee. Moreover, Zigbee is always more expensive for any user...
