Similiar devices that can tolerate 3.7V? #756

This is really off topic, but it seems like here is where people that know this hardware meet! So here we go: I have some LYWSD03MMC with this firmware on, working with home assistant. After having tested LIR2032 batteries (in two of them, just to be sure) I can confidently say that this device does not work with those, an will be permanently damaged if you insert such a battery. The screen will just never turn on again. Other users here have tried this out before, should have spent more time researching beforehand. Does anyone know if any similar hardware does work with 3.7V? I know, the battery life is already ridiculously good, I still want to move away from single use batteries. I love those little hygrometers with this great firmware allowing home assistant integration and much more, just don't love the CR2032s... |

Exceeding the TSLR825x chip's supply voltage above 3.6 V causes irreversible damage. The chip immediately degrades and begins consuming more power than a healthy chip.
Use CR2050. CR2032: voltage range 2000-3300 mV, capacity 200+ mAh. To install a CR2050 battery into the LYWSD03MMC, you need to cut off the tabs in the battery compartment and remove the black pressure plate from the cover. |

The MJWSD05MMC and MJWSD06MMC contain an integrated voltage regulator (LDO) for operation at a voltage of up to 5.5 V. |

This damage can only be repaired by replacing the chip.
