Talk Idea - An Overview of Licensing with Python as a Case Study  #3

@smg7d

Description

@smg7d

The idea for this talk would be to provide a good, basic understanding of what licenses are, why we need them, what types of licenses exist, and the history of Python's license as well as some of it's more notable packages, perhaps both open source and not open sourced (this may not make sense. I don't know anything about licenses, but the point is to show some variety to understand why different licenses may be used and when).

I'm not a good candidate for this talk since I know nothing about it! But hoping someone else in the group does.
