Hey Pybricks team and community,
First off—massive thanks for all your work on Pybricks. It’s unlocking so much potential for LEGO robotics beyond the stock firmware.
We’re a new team competing in WRO (World Robot Olympiad) Senior for the first time using LEGO SPIKE Prime. We’ve been experimenting and trying to push what’s possible with limited hardware—especially since we don’t have the budget for lots of extra sensors or motors.
We tried using two SPIKE hubs to get around the limited ports, but only later realized Bluetooth isn’t allowed in WRO tournaments, which kind of left us stuck.
Feature Request
It would be a game-changer if Pybricks could support a wired connection between two SPIKE Prime hubs via the micro USB ports, or possibly through sensor ports with a cable.
The idea is to allow one hub to act as a master and send data/commands to the other without using Bluetooth, staying within tournament rules.
Why This Would Be Huge
Even just basic communication—like syncing actions or splitting motor/sensor control—would make a massive difference.
We get that it might be tough to implement, but we wanted to throw the idea out there. Thanks again for all the work you do—Pybricks is seriously amazing.
Best,
Yavuz
