File Not saved notification

it would be nice to have a asterisk (*) show up at the end of a file if the file is edited but not saved to disk. this would help in the identification of which files have been saved.

Do you mean in Pybricks Code? Files aren't saved to disk there. They are just saved in a database in the web browser and they are saved after every edit.

Or maybe you mean that we should indicate files that have been changed since the last backup?

We would like visual notification (i'm dealing with 6-8 graders) that the file has not be saved to our shared drive. So an * after the file name would indicate it hasn't been saved to disk

So clicking either one of these two buttons would make the * go away until the file changes again?

basically yes but ideally the browser could confirm that were actually written to disk. but I'm not sure that is possible within the constraints of a browser (even if running a local chrome web app). ;(
