Help with an Error

So i am trying to make a custom firmware for my spike prime , i'm running on Ubuntu 24.4 in a VirtualBox , i've followed and completed successfully every step of the instructions for Contributing but in the last part i get an error which i really can't understand that much and of course can't fix it. If anyone could help me it would be really helpful , i'm not really an experienced programmer so if you could please explain it in simple terms ,Thank you

So the command that i run is this : make -C bricks/primehub -j8

It sounds like maybe your lib/btstack submodule is not checked out to the correct commit.

You can check it with git submodule status and likely fix it with git submodule update.

I tried the command you told me but it just straight up skipped them.

any more ideas ?

git submodule update --checkout --init lib/btstack
git submodule update --checkout --init lib/STM32_USB_Device_Library

(umm_malloc is currently only used for EV3, so you can skip that one if you are only building primehub.)
