So I was thinking it would be nice if I could create a coding agent using pydantic-ai wich can use toad as UI via ACP.

Then I find https://github.com/MoonshotAI/kimi-cli which supports ACP agents, so this seems a viable thing.

All in all, maybe adding ACP support to a coding agent created with pydantic-ai is trivial without adding anything into pydantic-ai itself, maybe it would be useful. I don't know, to be honest. I'm not an AI coding expert, just started to experiment with today Python AI tools.

@mpfaffenberger This is likely something you'll want to add to https://github.com/mpfaffenberger/code_puppy; you'll probably be in a good position to say what makes sense to have in Pydantic AI and what should be in he specific CLI agent!

I plan on supporting ACP in Code Puppy as @DouweM mentioned. It's written in Pydantic AI and has many (perhaps not all) of the features that every other Agentic Coding CLI has - and I'm expanding all the time.

I'm also active in the textualize Discord server and have been playing with Toad.
