My team at Red Hat is currently experiencing a build issue with your package due to the setup.cfg file in the source distributions (sdists).

It appears this was already resolved in PR #1192. To incorporate this fix, we would need a new version to be released.

Could you let us know if you are planning a new release soon? If not, an estimated timeline would be very helpful for our planning purposes.

Thank you for all your work on maintaining this project; it's greatly appreciated. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help with the release process.

pytest-async v1.1.1 is now released and specifically contains the setuptools-scm compatibility fix.
The v1.2.0 release will follow in a couple of minutes.
