One instance of dmypy per buffer?

Is it expected to get one instance of dmypy per buffer? This uses an enormous amount of memory if you have several buffers open. Is it actually necessary to have more than one instance per project?

I would like to have one instance per project, and have noticed, that this is not what is happening as well.
I am not quite sure why it is happening though.
What is buffer referring to in your issue?
