Is it possible to tell poetry that I am working in a conda environment?

I am newbie, so sorry if I say something meaningless.

I am thinking about poetry add <package_name>.
In my understanding it does the following things:

1. install the package
2. add it to pyproject.toml
3. update the .lock file

I guess that "under the hood" of point 1), poetry uses pip install.
Would that be possible to tell poetry to use conda install instead?

Perhaps the best would be to add an option under some [tool.poetry.some_entry] that tells poetry that I am working in a conda environment.
