urllib.request.urlopen() randomly fails with "Cannot allocate memory" on MacOS 14.6.1 / M3

Bug description:

randomly fails returning a "Errno 12] Cannot allocate memory" error.

Code was perfectly running on an Intel Mac, but is now randomly failing on MacBook Pro M3 running MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1 / Python 3.12.7.

CPython versions tested on:

3.12

Operating systems tested on:

macOS

This error is, more or less, unrelated to CPython. It's an error returned by the operating system, so there's nothing we could fix here.

How much memory does your system have?

Hello @ZeroIntensity, thanks for your quick answer.
My system have way enough memory 👍

But the issue can be closed : it was due to ulimit max file descriptor set to 256...
I changed it to 524288 and it's working perfectly now.
