New REPL dosen't remove line continuations upon terminal resizing

Bug description:

When I use a smaller window to input more than one line, if I switch to a larger window, the NEW REPL does not promptly remove "\".

If I switch to a larger window.

The "\" in the middle of s hasn't been removed.

@StanFromIreland It's possible but IMO it's also possible that this is a different issue. That bug results in all our screen text corruption, whereas this issue preserves the integrity of the text and only involves the fact that the continuation character should be moved or removed as appropriate.
