I recently updated python to the latest version 3.12.10, but now in the windows task manager hundreds of python.exe processes appear, they look like zombies because they are not used...

Is this related to uqfoundation/multiprocess#218 ? You were asked for a minimal reproducer

This seems like an issue in a library forgetting to join child processes please continue with that issue, providing a reproducer even if not minimal there.
